TEACHING

I teach hand tool woodworking classes at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education in Cambridge, and at the Eliot School in Jamaica Plain.

In my classes I employ equal measures of seriousness and levity, to connect with people who are interested in making objects, manipulating materials, exploring, and having a good time in a relaxed, creative atmosphere.

Teaching informs my work, which informs my teaching.

The small shadow box is a great place to start a hand tool woodworking journey.

The ochre box shown here is a version of the box we make in class- clicking on the image will take you to a slide show: Making the Shadow Box
